The following list of doctors and counselors is listed in the order they responded and comments were solicited regarding experience in diagnosing ADD in adults which are included if they were received. It is very important (critical really) that a person considering an evaluation get it done with someone familiar with ADD/ADHD. I would recommend that you call ahead of time and ask questions regarding this topic. The fact that they responded to my request should show that they are at least knowledgeable and care enough to have asked to be listed on this web site.
DISCLAIMER: These psychologists, psychiatrists and counselors who have
listed their names on this web site have done so strictly as a public service
and their listing in no way recommends or endorses the work of the ADD Coaching
Clinic and should not be construed as such.

I have been in private practice as a psychotherapist in Iowa City for 11
years. I have worked with a large number of children, adolescents and adults
who merit ADD or ADHD diagnoses. I regularly do diagnostic work, and work
cooperatively with Psychiatric professionals in the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids
communities. Moreover, I actively treat individuals with these diagnoses
relative to coping skills, work-related issues, and social skill development.
My primary orientations as a counselor and psychotherapist are
cognitive-behavioral, client-centered and psychodynamic.
